The textile artwork "POLLUX" is inspired by the iconic shape of the football fan scarf, a globally popular gesture of solidarity. While one side retains the classic expression of sympathy, the other side unfolds into an abstract interplay of neon yellow, green, and blue tones: a stylized impression of the feathers of the resident peacock, "Pollux," as well as the landscape structures of the property. In this combination of symbol and nature, "POLLUX" becomes a homage to the proud guardian of a place dedicated to art and culture. The five-color jacquard knit combines distinctive imagery on both sides; the ends are finished with traditional fringes.
About the artist:
DAVI.INis a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker from Hamburg. His colorful, effects-driven style draws on a wide range of cultural influences—from internet aesthetics to ancient mythology. His work interweavesDAVI.INHe transforms ancient and contemporary symbols into new visual worlds by translating techniques such as acrylic and spray painting into pixel graphics and ultimately materializing them in knitted wool. In this way, he artfully combines one of the newest and one of the oldest technologies of image production.
