About the artist:

David Shrigley was born in Macclesfield, UK, in 1968 and studied at the School of Arts in Glasgow. The artist is known for his naive style of painting, which he consistently combines with typographic elements, thus lending his compositions a touch of wit and irony.

The painter, sculptor, and graphic artist's work is represented in prominent collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the Tate Gallery in London, and the Museum Ludwig in Cologne. David Shrigley lives and works in Glasgow, Scotland.
