David Shrigley (born in Macclesfield, Great Britain, in 1968) is one of the best-known contemporary artists. After studying at the School of Arts in Glasgow, he developed a unique style: seemingly naive drawings combined with typographical elements that captivate with humour, irony and subtle social criticism.

His works are exhibited in international museums, including the MOMA in New York, the Pinakothek der Moderne, the Tate Gallery in London and the Museum Ludwig in Cologne.
