Visits are only possible with online ticket booking. Generally open on weekends and public holidays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Access is wheelchair accessible.

Children under 6 years of age are admitted free of charge and no ticket is required.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed because free-roaming peacocks live in WAI Park.

    The Gärtnerhaus painting school at WAI offers art education support for your children aged 6 to 14 on selected days while you visit the exhibition.

  • DIRECTIONS

    The Woods Art Institute is located approximately a 15-minute walk from the Reinbek S-Bahn station (HVV line S2) in a western extension of the Sachsenwald forest, providing direct access to Hamburg Central Station. By car, the WAI can be reached via the A24, A25, or B5 motorways.

    Since parking spaces are limited on site, we ask that you use public transport if possible.
