The textile artwork "POLLUX" is inspired by the iconic shape of the football fan scarf, a globally popular gesture of solidarity. While one side retains the classic expression of sympathy, the other side unfolds into an abstract interplay of neon yellow, green, and blue tones: a stylized impression of the feathers of the resident peacock, "Pollux," as well as the landscape structures of the property. In this combination of symbol and nature, "POLLUX" becomes a homage to the proud guardian of a place dedicated to art and culture. The five-color jacquard knit combines distinctive imagery on both sides; the ends are finished with traditional fringes.
About the artist:
DAVI.IN is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker from Hamburg whose contemporary art practice draws on a wide range of cultural influences—from internet aesthetics to ancient mythology. In his work, DAVI.IN weaves together symbols from antiquity and the present, transforming them into new visual worlds. He translates techniques such as acrylic and spray painting into pixel graphics, ultimately materializing them in knitted textiles. In doing so, he artfully combines one of the newest with one of the oldest technologies of image production.
