Based on the series "Hot Content," plaster casts of coffee-to-go cups are created and then painted. The decision regarding the color scheme is based on Johannes Itten's theories of the seven color contrasts: color-in-itself, light-dark, cold-warm, complementary, quality, quantity, and simultaneous contrast. The inspiration for this was the admiration for the subtle still lifes of the painter Giorgio Morandi.
